  • Please be kind and courteous to your fellow attendees, guests, dealers, and staff.

  • Cosplay is NOT consent, and we have a ZERO TOLLERANCE harassment policy. Violators will be dealt with swiftly and accordingly.

  • If it violates federal, state, or local laws, don’t bring it to or do it at Desert Hawks Comic Con

  • Convention Staff will not ask you to do things unnecessarily, please just do it

  • Convention staff, guests, and attendees may not be in possession of any item defined as a weapon, Illegal or not. (see prop/weapons policy for more detail)

  • No animals are allowed in convention space, with the exception of ADA Service Animals. 

  • Please keep service animals visibly marked as such in order to allow quick response if they are seeking help.

  •  If your service animal becomes aggressive or otherwise disruptive you may be asked to remove them from the floor for a short period of time for their safety and the safety of those around them.

  • Desert Hawks Comic Con badges/wristbands must be purchased in order to enter any convention space. If you do not have one you will be asked to leave until you purchase one.

  • Badges/wristbands must be worn at all times, and must be visible.

  • Shoes must be worn at all times. Barefoot cosplays may remove their shoes for photoshoots ONLY.

Code of Conduct 

  • This is the Minimum Dress code for Desert Hawks Comic Con,  please reference this should you have any questions about the appropriateness of your outfit. This applies to all attendees regardless of gender identity.

  • The red areas must remain covered at all times and be covered with  opaque fabric. Translucent and transparent fabrics may be used outside of the red areas. No side or under boob is allowed.

All props must be non-functioning, and cannot be made from metal or solid wood.  If it looks too real you may be asked to put it back in your vehicle.

  • Guns: All Guns must be prop weapons, unable to fire, and clearly marked with an orange tip.
                 Projectiles of any kind are banned.

  •  Swords: All Swords are to be made from craft materials . Hyper realistic, or real swords are not allowed. Real swords purchased at the convention are not allowed on the convention floor, they MUST be taken directly to your car, do not open them inside the building.

  • Bows: All bows are to be unstrung, if it can be drawn you will be asked to take it to your vehicle. 

  • Whips/Chains: Any Whip, chain, cord, leash, that is used as a prop and/or is/is  not part of your costume must remain on your person at all times. They are not allowed to extend beyond 2 feet from your body, and can not be swung around or cracked.

Violation of any of the above Prop policies can potentially result in your expulsion from the convention. If you are asked to leave by convention staff due to policy violations of any kind you are not eligible for a refund.
